Job Summary
The Accountant will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing day-to-day accounting activities, preparing financial reports, and ensuring compliance with applicable accounting standards, tax regulations, and company policies.
Key Responsibilities
Maintain accurate and up-to-date accounting records and financial transactions.
Handle daily accounting entries, vouchers, invoices, receipts, and payments.
Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable.
Prepare bank, supplier, customer, and ledger reconciliations.
Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
Monitor cash flow and maintain proper cash and bank records.
Prepare and maintain VAT, TDS, and other tax-related records and documents.
Assist in timely preparation and submission of tax returns and statutory reports.
Coordinate with auditors, banks, vendors, and relevant government authorities when required.
Verify bills, expenses, purchase documents, and supporting documents.
Maintain proper filing and documentation of financial records.
Monitor outstanding receivables and payables and provide regular updates to management.
Ensure compliance with company accounting policies and applicable laws and regulations.
Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis as required.
Perform other finance and accounting duties assigned by management.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, BBA, or a related field.
Previous experience in accounting or finance is preferred.
Knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
Good knowledge of MS Excel and accounting software.
Knowledge of VAT, TDS, taxation, and statutory compliance in Nepal.
Strong numerical and analytical skills.
Good written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle financial information responsibly.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to work independently as well as in a team.
Preferred Skills
Proficiency in accounting software such as Tally, ERP, or other financial management systems.
Advanced knowledge of MS Excel.
Good problem-solving and analytical abilities.
Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple tasks.
